Curiosity

The word “curiosity” keeps popping into my thoughts. It is, by far, the number one trait I look for when hiring someone. I can teach most skills—marketing, insurance, even leadership—to anyone, but most easily and effectively to someone who’s innately curious. That’s something I can’t teach, but if you have it—I can help you go far.

Just in Time

I’m a sucker for time travel stories. I think they are without a doubt my favorite genre. From Irwin Allen’s “Time Tunnel,” to a plethora of Star Trek episodes, “Quantum Leap,” “Journeyman,” “The Time Traveler’s Wife,” “El Ministerio del Tiempo,” and countless others, time travel stories are my soft spot. Even my own unfinished novel, “March of T.I.M.E.” features time-traveling protagonist Gil March and his uneasy partner Stug Frillam. Maybe one day I’ll finish it , but in the meantime—I’ll always be fascinated by a good time travel story.

Here we go again

It’s been over five years since I’ve done anything remotely resembling blogging. RandomMaccess was more of a tech news site than my personal musings—at least for the most part, and Cavooza was squarely designed to promote my consulting business. I suppose Social Media has served as my outlet for general observations, prognostications, words of wisdom, and unhinged rants. But it’s so impermanent and ever more fractionalized. So maybe the time is right to try my own site again.

I of course have a long and storied history of setting up sites and promptly ignoring them.

Let’s see how this one goes, shall we?
